A washing machine is a vital part of most homes unless you like to handwash, which costs more time and effort. Yet I prefer to be lazy when it comes to washing.
Hanging the clothes is already enough effort. Today I’m reviewing the Giantex Full-Automatic Portable Washing Machine, for those who like to take it easy when it comes to washing.
Summary
In this article, the Giantex Full-Automatic Portable Washing Machine Compact 1.34Cu.ft. is being reviewed. It is a relatively small and light washing machine, which makes it very suitable for tiny houses. The laundry washer has many different washing options: eight different water levels can be chosen in combination with ten different standard washing cycles.
The machine is very simple to use and easily connects to a faucet. The machine automatically drains the water through the drain hose when necessary. Since we all need clean laundry, at least those who don’t like to smell, this article could be very interesting if you don’t have much space in your tiny home or RV for a regular washing machine.
What is The Giantex Portable Washing Machine?
I hope everyone knows in general terms what a washing machine is used for, yet they come in different shapes and sizes and with different features. Handwashing your clothes is also an option but far from ideal. This portable washing machine could be a good option for your tiny home.
The tiny washing machine has a size of 19.7 inches depth, 19.8 inches width and a height of 33.5 inches (50.0 x 50.2 x 85.1 centimeters), so it won’t take up too much valuable space. It weighs 51 pounds (23 kilograms) and is therefore not too heavy to carry, like most laundry washers.
The washing machine has a grey color. The overall body is made out of plastic. The inner tub is made of stainless steel and the motor is made of aluminum.
The machine is quite easy to operate. It has a control panel on which the ten programs are listed. You can choose eight different water level selections and it has LED display. Everything you might need to know is displayed there, including detergent and procedure choice. The inner tub has a capacity of 9.92 pounds (4.5 kilograms), so it can hold light to medium laundry loads.
This makes it not ideal for big families, but for a tiny house this should not be a problem at all, in my opinion. In the manual there is a list of the weight of various clothes for referencing.
The machine has a clear lid which allows you to see the water level. You can always add water by pressing the water level/spin button. A detailed manual is included with the machine that provides a clear overview of everything you will need to know about the product. There is also a child lock function that you can set up, which locks the buttons when the machine is working and when the lid is opened it will stop running and an alarm will ring.
How Does the Giantex Portable Washing Machine Work?
This product is not very complicated to use. All the programs are clearly listed on top of the washer. You can put in the amount and sort of detergent of your own choice, you pick the program and the machine does the rest for you. Naturally, it doesn’t put your clothes for you on the drying rack, that you’re going to have to do by yourself. Yet, here is a (hopefully) clear instruction on how it works.
First of all, you need to press the power button. The machine works on electricity, so a connection with a power outlet is needed. Naturally you will also need water inlet.
There is a hose that comes with the machine, that you need to attach to a water tap. Once this is done and the machine is turned on, you can select the water level. You can add more water by pressing the water level/spin button.
Once you have selected this, you can push the program/delay button. A number appears on the LED display. The number stands for the washing program that are clearly listed on the right side of the display. 01 is normal, 02 is standard, 03 is fast.
This is all very straightforward. Then you press the start/pause button and the water will start to run in the machine. The last step is putting in your detergent and your clothes will be clean again. There is another hose provided that leads the dirty water out. It is recommended to put the other end of the hose that is not attached to the washer in the sink, or somewhere else where the water will be led away from your house.
While your clothes are being washed, the LED display also shows what procedure is happening in the machine. The procedures are indicated with AA, bb, CC and dd. On the left side of the display is listed what this means.
Another interesting function the washing machine has, is the automatic imbalance adjustment. If the washing machine vibrates beyond a certain level, the mechanism will automatically adjust the imbalance situation.
This is very useful because if the machine moves to much, it can disconnect itself from the hoses which will lead to big leaks. Moreover the bottom feet can be adjusted to your preferred height.

Giantex Washing Machine FAQs

Yes, you can connect to the tap in your kitchen. The only thing is that you cannot use the tap in the meantime unless you have a diverter.

No, you should leave the water running until the washing machine is filled, after that you can turn it off again. Naturally, if you want to add more water than you can turn it on again until the amount suffices your needs.

Yes, it does. Just connect your washer to a faucet, and make sure the drain hose is placed in a sink or another place where you want the dirty water to go. In order to save water, you can turn off your facet when the washer is filled. Draining happens automatically.

Giantex Washing Machine Alternatives
There are many alternatives for this washing machine. The COMFEE 0.9 cu.ft is very comparable with the Giantex one reviewed in this article. It offers fewer washing options and has less capacity, and is a bit cheaper. It’s also a bit heavier, but it has wheels to move it around easily.
COMFEE’ also has a 1.6 cu.ft model, offering six washing programs and a bigger capacity than the other COMFEE’ model. It’s also a bit more expensive.
Final Thoughts
This Giantex portable washing machine is great for places without much space: apartments, RVs, and tiny homes, all thanks to its small size. With its lightweight, it is easy to move around as well. The washer can do many different things for you, with eight different water levels and ten different standard cycles. It doesn’t use much water and electricity, which is beneficial for your wallet and the environment.
It automatically fills and drains water and has automatic imbalance adjustment, so the machine won’t shake too much, which could have negative consequences in the form of leaks or broken parts. The machine is very easy to use thanks to the LED display.
Through the clear lid you can see everything going on inside and you can also adjust the water level while washing. In short, it is an overall very good working machine. Yet there are many other comparable models, so I’m not saying that this is the one laundry washer you should buy, but it is definitely a good option for your tiny home!
